SAP MM Business Systems Analyst (m/f/d) (80-100%) (fixed term -1 year)
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SAP MM Business Systems Analyst (m/f/d) to strengthen our Value Chain team for a 12-month fixed-term assignment with a strong focus on Growth Support. In this role, you act as a central interface between business functions, Power Users, and IT, ensuring stable and scalable SAP MM operations as our business, volumes, and organizational requirements evolve.
The position combines hands-on application support with business analysis and continuous improvement. You will take ownership of SAP MM tickets and incidents raised by Power Users across divisions, independently diagnose and resolve issues within your functional scope, coordinate change requests with Business and IT, and ensure solution quality through structured testing and validation.
A key part of the role is enabling business growth through reliable processes, high-quality data, and pragmatic system improvements. You will support new and changing business requirements, help harmonize Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes across divisions, strengthen data governance, and contribute operational expertise to selected S/4HANA and SAP Ariba activities where relevant.
You will be based at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland and report to the Head of Value Chain Planning & Fulfillment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Secure operational continuity across SAP MM processes - including ordering, replenishment, inventory, material master, and supplier master - and independently resolve tickets and incidents raised by Power Users across divisions.
- Coordinate SAP MM change requests end-to-end: clarify business requirements, assess impacts, align solutions with IT, Procurement, Planning, and Finance, and drive implementation through to closure.
- Prepare and execute functional and regression testing for changes, releases, and fixes; validate data, document results, track defects, and support user acceptance testing.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM interface and IDoc errors, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions; escalate only where specialist technical intervention is required.
- Support Growth initiatives by translating new or changing business requirements into stable, scalable SAP MM solutions and by providing hands-on support to divisions and Power Users during implementation and ramp-up.
- Take ownership of defined improvement work packages, for example harmonizing S2P workflows, improving data governance, supporting supplier or material master requirements, or integrating SAP Ariba modules such as SLP and SCC.
- Analyze SAP MM process and master data, identify data-quality and process gaps, and drive pragmatic improvements that increase reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Enable users across functions and divisions through clear documentation, user guides, SharePoint content, and training; act as a trusted operational expert while contributing practical input to S/4HANA design, testing, and data validation where required.
Your Background:
- University degree in Business Information Systems, Analytics, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience in a global or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of S2P and SAP MM, including purchasing, goods receipt, inventory, and master data.
- Proven hands-on experience in SAP MM application support, independently diagnosing and resolving productive-system incidents and supporting Power Users.
- Experience in requirements analysis and end-to-end change request coordination.
- Hands-on experience in functional and regression testing, defect follow-up, and UAT.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP interfaces and IDoc/EDI troubleshooting, including hands-on error analysis and incident resolution.
- Strong analytical and data-quality skills; proficient in Excel and ideally Power BI.
- Experience with SAP ECC/R/3 and SAP S/4HANA; SAP Ariba SLP/SCC experience and exposure to rollout or growth-related implementation activities are a plus.
- Strong stakeholder and problem-solving skills; fluent in English and German.
Your Benefits:
- Attractive compensation & benefits.
- Employee Assistance Program.
- Global parental leave program.
- Flexible working models.
