Office IT Trainee (80-100%)

As an IT Support Intern within the Office IT Team, you will gain hands-on experience by providing 2nd level IT support to internal and external users. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and interact with internal and external partners while supporting our offices in Zürich, Biel and Renens, as well as our stores in the Zürich area.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills through day-to-day support activities and participation in a variety of exciting IT migration and infrastructure projects. You will gain valuable insight into a dynamic IT environment while making a meaningful contribution to the team.

Your duties

• Prepare computers/laptops/phones and all relevant business applications for new users
• Setup new infrastructure elements such as printers, video conference systems, cisco switches and routers, cash systems and many other nice tools
• Provide coaching and mentoring on the functionality, applicability and usability to all users
• Search for opportunities to improve current processes and tools provided to end users
• Write and update technical documents, procedures and user guidelines whenever necessary
• Work on-site and remotely to identify, troubleshoot, resolve and document technical incidents
• Support users and troubleshoot issues via the phone and on-side
• Update our Asset Management database
• Work on IT projects and special tasks within the Office IT team

What you bring

• Basic knowledge on a client / server infrastructure
• Basic knowledge on IT network elements such as switches, routers and firewalls
• Good knowledge on smart phones and IP phones
• Basic programming and scripting knowledge
• Knowledge in end user hardware and software
• Ability to learn and assimilate new processes and concepts quickly
• Drivers License
• German and English, French or Italian is a plus

You will learn how to setup servers, clients, applications, network components and how to use client / server based administration tools such as Active Directory, Entra, Intune, SCCM, MDT, MTR and many other interesting tools in the IT field.
